Curb Appeal

First, look at the exterior of your house, or your curb appeal. Look at the outside of your house from the view of a passerby. What jumps out at you? What positive features seem waiting to be noticed? Knowing this helps us to decide what steps we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your home. If your home isn't the best it can look on the outside with touched up paint and blooming garden plants we'll need to tackle those issues. "Welcome to your new home!"

Could a buyer envision themselves enjoying game night in your living space, reading a good book in your reading nook or hosting a dinner in your eat-in kitchen? I want your home to welcome buyers and give them a sense of easy living. I'll help you do this by suggesting changes that enhance your home's features. I'll advise you reduce the effect of pieces that give the look of clutter. Tabletops should be free and clear. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and play time drawings should get moved out of sight. I can help you de-clutter your house. Ugly or dirty areas make your home look smaller and buyers have a more difficult time seeing themselves living there.

I'll review each room of your home. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that need polishing, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively impact the sale.

With me by your side, you'll know that your home has mass appeal and that it's inviting, avoiding "offensive" or "personalized" colors on the walls and furniture. And if you've already moved out, you can think about renting furniture. The goal is for your home to look inviting as opposed to uninhabited.

Setting the Stage
At every showing, we want to engage the buyer's senses. Dark living areas can be a real mood killer, so we'll do things like part the curtains and change light bulbs where needed to invite the buyer inside. Together we'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests enjoy your home and assure a pleasing aroma circulates from every room. We'll add cozy-looking bedspreads, and place pillows on your sofa and bed. We want buyers to feel like your current home is their future home.
